The crappy mood I'm in...

Yes, I'm in a crappy mood today and eating a whole bag of butter flavored corn puffs is likely. Weighed myself today and the number is going up not down...252...ugh, I'm just a big Fat Fatty McFatterson.

My husband, seems to NOT understand the concept of conversation. When I'm telling him how I'm feeling/perceiving a situation he immediately brings up any past mistakes I've made. I never do that to him and not only is it pissing me off it is actually making me feel bad and hurting my feelings, which in turn pisses me off more. I really feel that when I'm gone he's much happier, that way then he doesn't have to blatantly ignore me and won't have to try so hard.

I must be PMSing...

I'm just venting.

Going to just quit now while I'm ahead. I guess.

Sorry answer to the trivia question is...

"War" by Edwin Starr

No points have been awarded since Jennifer didn't get it right.

New Question:

The song "I Got You Babe" was originally sung by Sonny and Cher, however a cartoon duo joined Cher in singing this song. What cartoon duo was this?

Another Rainy Day

It's been raining for like three days. I like the rain but I need some sunshine. I hope against hope that my Sister has sunshine when I am down there. However we usually experience rain as well. So I've learned that when we take the canoe trip down the river featured in the movie Deliverance that I will be in the same canoe as my Brother-in-Law and my darling niece Landry. Can't wait for the fun!

My toes are cold again today. I've always been a warm person and didn't like the heat. Now I'm freezing all the friggin' time. Honestly it was like 80 degrees on my day off a few weeks ago and I was comfortable, I even went into the house to turn off the Air Conditioning. I would never have done that before.

Well since I feel I need something kitschy on my blog I'm going to start with the book reports and trivia questions. If anyone is reading this feel free to comment with your answers.

Book Report: Currently reading A Caress of Twilight by Laurel l K. Hamilton. This is book 2 in the Merry Gentry series about fairies. So far i'm hooked but have the feeling the soft core porn scenes will soon be making an appearance. Will keep you posted on it. I will also be starting Obsidian Butterfly also by LKH. This is book 9 of the Anita Blake series. Can't wait to get to the new books that I haven't read in the series, but patience is a virtue.

Very well...Trivia time...Points will be awarded.

In the series Married with Children, we learn what Al and Peg's "song" is. What is the name of this song?

Bonus points if you know the artist.

Good luck!

Rainy Days and Crappy Shoes

So it's been a cold wet spring and summer. Again today it is raining and I absolutely LOVE driving in the rain, however I don't like walking in it. So I can never get a decent place to park, EVER. Kirsten has like a lucky horseshoe that follows her around and she can get a great place to park like every time. But no, I had to walk through all this misty crap today and I hate that.

Crappy shoes, I need more of them. I have some decent ones but who wants to wear heels to work? Even though I am still determined to do the Hooker Shoes Pub Crawl, You have to wear, "Fuck Me Heels" and if a guy would like to join us, the same rule applies. It could be like a yearly thing and perhaps donate any funds earned to a charity. Still a work in progress but I think it has potential.

Well I finished The Riches last night. Sadly it went down hill and I was starting to get disappointed. let me summarize here...

Wayne, Dahlia, Cael, Didi and Sam Malloy are Irish Travellers. Dahlia was in prison and gets out at the beginning of the series. She is Meth addict and has severe trust issues with Wayne (He was the reason she went to prison). Cael, Didi and Sam are the children who have been living with Wayne for the two years she was gone. After her release from prison the entire family goes back to "camp" where the majority of the Irish Travellers are at. Here we meet Dale, the son of Earl who is ill and currently the head of the "family". Dale is a sociopath. After arguing and beating up on each other, Wayne steals $40,000 from the family and escapes with his family so his daughter DiDi doesn't have to marry Ken, through an arranged marriage. They have no idea where they will be going. On the way to no-where they accidentally run The Riches off the road causing their demise. They then assume their identities and move to Louisiana and live The Riches life. Dahlia and Cael are not overly enthusiastic about this plan but go along with it. Wayne/Doug becomes a lawyer with no training but he's a conman and pulls it off. Dahlia makes friends with the neighbor lady and works as an assistant at the same company as Wayne. The kids are now, for the first time in school (after Dahlia had to con their way in). They do cons throughout the first 7-8 episodes which makes the series exciting, however after that it becomes strained. The continuous theme is Dahlia doesn't trust Wayne, Wayne doubts Dahlia's sobriety, The kids are caught in the middle of the struggle and then Dale comes back to blackmail them regarding the Riches demise. So for the remaining episodes they are constantly going from one major hurdle ie Dale, friends of the Real Riches, money etc. to another. They seem to stop being Travellers completely and become what they call Buffers. It seemed really strained and the last episodes Cael runs off, Dahlia moves to an apartment because of her Parole and Wayne is trying to score a deal worth 13 million to him. It just seems that they lost sight of the real Traveller heritage of family and became what so many become...focused on the almighty dollar.

Loved the series, hated the ending.

I know my synopsis sucks. But if you have the desire watch it and make your own judgement.

Aaaahhh...Smoothie....

Yes, a smoothie does make it all feel better. Tropical Smoothie Cafe makes some of the best smoothies and sandwiches...I have a Chicken Pesto Flat Bread sandwich and a Sunrise Sunset Smoothie. Strawberries, Orange, Pineapple and Mango. To quote Rachel Ray "Yum-O"

Only 7 days to go before I am on a train to see my sister and my niece and nephews. I've apparently been recruited to dye my sisters hair again...hopefully she bought 2 boxes of dye instead of just one. She has too thick and too long of hair to use just one box.

The official start of summer and it's only in the 60's today. How ridiculous. We had one week of decent heat and now it's back to this dreary shit. I'm freezing most of the time already and not having the heat makes me colder. Unbelievable.

I'm at work and wasting time again...I need to finish my sandwich and then call to see about these two accounts I was working on last night. I know my job sounds stressful, but it really isn't. Seriously I was still able to watch 3 episodes of The Riches last night and take 50 calls.

Well this is a short post, but hopefully it's interesting enough to keep people coming back.

The Next Posting of a Mad Woman

So unfortunately I was not able to weigh myself this morning. My husband, Jake had to have surgery to remove his gall bladder. He had sludge in it. That is the correct medical term when the Gall Bladder doesn't have stones but has a build up. Sounds rather oil company related than something in your body. He was in and out of surgery in like 30 minutes. He's doing well and home now resting on the couch with his Mama doing his bidding. I'm sure he will be sore and groggy for the rest of the day, but it wasn't near as bad as mine.

So again I'm back at work and extremely tired. I don't want to face the deluge of crazy people on the phones. So hopefully I can finish watching The Riches, I was lucky enough to watch 6 episodes on Saturday. Ahhh work, how I can't classify you as productive.

I'm really going to try hard to do the Gluten Free diet, but today unfortunately I had a bagel with cream cheese for breakfast. My Mother-in-Law and I had breakfast at the hospital today. So I will continue to try hard and lose the weight that I so lovingly added to body. However the food I love is the food I can no longer eat. Ugh...why can't the stuff that tastes like crapola on a shingle be bad for you?

So it is fricking freezing again in here, the temperature is only about 60 and I'm in jeans and a lightweight jacket and I'm about to go get my fleece jacket from the car. Hopefully it warms up or at least I warm up.

Only 8 more days until I get to go and see my big sissy down in Arkansas and bring home the elder two of her children. Love the summers with them, but they are getting so big that they don't need me or want to really spend time with me anymore. It saddens me, but I know it is a fact of life and I need to just deal with it.

Well the time has come to close this post and to start my shift...no more delaying.

It's going to begin...

So I'm sitting here at work and I've made a major decision...well majorish for me at least. After finishing reading Bridget Jones Diary I think it is important for me to keep a record of my life. It's important enough to me so I think it would be interesting to others as well.

Today I weighed myself and seriously I'm gaining weight again! I feel completely fat and worthless and was ready to just cry at the number glowing up at me from the scale. I'll be honest it was 251.4. How I shudder to think how big I am and how big I may soon become. I'm only drinking water haven't had soda since January (of this I have lost no weight, whereas my husband can quit it and lose like 100 pounds, what gives?) My dearest friend Kirsten has lost 10 pounds this week and I too strive to do this. So therefore I will try the gluten free diet and at least try to limit my intake of processed foods. Luckily we have ZERO food in the house so it really shouldn't be too hard. Oops, forgot to take out chicken for tomorrows dinner. Gotta text the roomie.

I'm rereading the Laurell K. Hamilton books that I have and since I plan to take the one series on the train with me next week, I have to read the Merry Gentry series now. Luckily at work I can get a lot of reading done. Am also watching The Riches on Netflix. Awesome series so far, I really enjoy it.

So that takes care of my mind and body but really I feel as if something is missing in my life.

Oh yes I remember what it is...A Family.

Last night, since I'm being honest, I had an emotional breakdown. In the car on the way home I was listening to my MP3 and the song came on that will either always make me cry or at the very least make me remember. Well this time it started to make me cry and knowing I was driving I quickly changed it. However the damage was done. I got home and nobody was there yet, so I changed and lay down, shortly after I decided to go to sleep I began full out crying. Jake had to come in and keep me company until it passed, but still I felt awful and am still trying to keep it together even as I type this.

Oh dear I lost the battle.

That is what I have to tell at this time...perhaps more tomorrow, since it is my day off most likely not, Monday will be here soon enough.
